My 5 airport fashion tips

Eeek so Abz and I are off to Dubai for Christmas and New Years, I’m actually writing this blog post at the airport whilst waiting to board our flight. We go Dubai every year but have never spent New Year’s there and this is something we’ve always wanted to do. We’re literally so excited about this trip and have some amazing things planned, there’s always something new to do every year we go. Anyway while I’m waiting to board the flight I thought it would be cool to do a quick post, and share my 5 airport fashion tips that will hopefully give you some inspo on looking chic and being comfy on a long haul flight.

Opt for layers

Layering allows you to take off or put on clothes depending if the environment is hot or cold. And travelling from the UK to Dubai during December means that I’m going from -1 degrees to 30 degrees. So I opted for a bit of sport chic with this Adidas oversize t-shirt and leather fur jacket.

Wear leggings

Leggings are my ‘go to’ for long haul flights they’re so comfy and flexible. They are easy to sleep in on the flight without being restricted like you would in a pair of jeans. I have opted for these topshop leggings in black.

Shoes, shoes, shoes

I live in heels, but for a long haul flight I totally wear flats. My feet are prone to swelling on flights so it’s even more important for me to wear flats. For summer flights like when we went to Thailand and Cyprus earlier this year, I always opt for sandels but this time round I’ve opted for some classic toms in light grey – they’re so comfy.

Toiletries & makeup

Long haul flights mean that you‘ll end up waking up in a different time zone. I normally pack some deodorant, lip balm, mouthwash and lipstick in my handbag. This helps me to freshen up before I land and feel less jet-lagged.

Sunglasses

Anyone that knows me will know that I love Celine, and for my birthday this year Abz got me a gorgeous pair of Celine sunglasses that I haven’t really had the chance to wear yet. I packed these beauties in my hand bag so I could quickly take them out and wear them when we land in Dubai. Sunglasses instantly make any outfit look chic.
