Natural Lash Lift Treatment

I love super glamorous lashes; they just look amazing and really frame your eyes beautifully. Of course there’s different ways in achieving longer, curvier, fuller lashes. And one that I tried out recently was the natural lash lift treatment from Elka Dass Salon in Great Bar.

This is the first time I have ever had a lash lift, and I’ve always been curious as to how it’s done. So I thought it would be useful to share my experiences and the process of the lash lift treatment.

So my appointment at Elka Dass salon was at 10am on a Saturday. When I arrived, Ella – my lash lift expert took me straight upstairs for my lash lift treatment. Before I had the treatment I took a ‘before’ picture so I could see what the difference was after the lash lift.

My eyelashes before the lash lift treatment

Step 1 – Perming lotion

So the first few steps involved Ella cleansing my lashes, tapping down my bottom lashes and fixing a lash shield as close to the lash line as possible. This was done so that my top lashes could be attached to the shield ready for the perming lotion to be applied. This is beautifully demonstrated in the pic below…prepare yourself ladies I had no makeup on.

The perming lotion creates the lift on the eyelashes and it was left on for 10 minutes. I have to mention that this pink perming lotion really had a strong smell, but I got use to it after a few minutes.

Step 2 – Fixing lotion

After the perming lotion was removed, Ella combed out my lashes to make sure they were nice and straight. The next step was the fixing lotion, so this lotion sets the lash lift and again was left on for 10 minutes. You’ll be happy to know that the blue fixing lotion didn’t  smell as strong as the pink perming lotion.

After treatment

Once all the products were removed and my lashes were cleansed, Ella handed over a mirror to me. And I was really impressed, I saw a difference straight away. My eyelashes looked so neat and long, it really opened up my eyes. I couldn’t wait to get home to see what they would look like with mascara on. I was also given an eyelash brush to comb out my eyelashes to keep them neat and straight.

With mascara on

So when I got home I applied my every day makeup and used Maybelline ‘push up drama’ mascara on my eyelashes and here’s the final result of the lash lift treatment with mascara on.

I had to add two pictures to redeem myself for the ‘no makeup’ pics ha.

I was really impressed with the lash lift treatment; it really gives your natural lashes a boost. It’s the perfect treatment for anyone who wants a natural eye lash boost without having eyelash extensions.
